In 2018, the Town of New Richmond mandated CIRADD to produce a study on the sports and recreation needs of users and potential users of the New Richmond arena. From the existing literature and the data collected, the study identifies a set of social issues related to the practice of sports and recreation. A survey was conducted in May 2018 among the citizens of New Richmond, Caplan, Cascapédia–St-Jules, Gesgapegiag and Saint-Alphonse. Highlights of the survey are set out in the report submitted to the Town of New Richmond.
