The project aims to combat the poverty of the Saloum Islands by improving the capacity of women’s groups in the villages of Dionewar, Niodior and Falia to adapt to climate changes that are affecting the dynamics of mangrove ecosystems and reducing the production of shellfish and fish.

The islanders will have new ways of doing things to improve their economies, ensure food security and maintain the role and position of women in local communities.
